Description
|
|
Provide
architectural and big picture oversight for development of new or enhanced software
products. Responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the software
architecture across the system and providing day-to-day technical guidance
to the development teams. Define the system, technical, and application
architectures for major areas of development and recommend course of action
to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness. Stay up-to-date on
business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to
infrastructure and development architecture issues. Research and implement
best practices frameworks/capability models that will control costs,
provide higher quality, and/or increase predictability of service delivery.
Research new technology and development tools to remain abreast of current
and emerging technology. Career-Level position within field. Requires
experience and proficiency in discipline. Conducts complex work important
to the organization. Works with minimal supervision with wide latitude for
independent judgment. Typically requires six to nine years experience or
equivalent education.
Responsible for leading the design and support of enterprisewide business
intelligence applications and architecture. Works with enterprisewide
business and IT senior management to understand and prioritize data and
information requirements. Solves complex technical problems. Optimizes the
performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to
filter and index that add value to the user. Creates testing methodology
and criteria. Designs and coordinates a curriculum for coaching and
training customers in the use of business intelligence tools to enhance
business decision-making capability. Develops standards, policies and
procedures for the form, structure and attributes of the business
intelligence tools and systems. Develops data/information quality metrics.
Researches new technology and develops business cases to support
enterprisewide business intelligence solutions. Bachelor's or Master's
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or
equivalent work experience. Typically has 7 to 10 years of experience with
large and complex database management systems, business intelligence tools
and systems.
