Req A) : Migration of Cable modem devices to IPv6 (EMTAs,
modems, gateways)
a. 5 million new devices
(from TWC/Charter) need to be renumbered to IPv6 with new firmware code in
production
b. We need people with
experience in Cisco device provisioning, IPv6 DOCSIS CPE, MDD messaging
override etc.
c. Total team size: 5
people onshore at Denver
Req B) : Device configuration/management on the Cisco
Broadband Access center (BAC)
a. Build out the
servers required to manage the new incoming devices
b. Experience on working in
the Cisco BAC/CNR complex, RDU use

Job Description: Migration of Cable modem devices to IPv6
(EMTAs, modems, gateways) & Device configuration/ management on the Cisco
Broadband Access center (BAC)
Must-Have skills:
1. Hands-on experience in Cisco device provisioning, CPE
Provisioning servers, IPv6 DOCSIS CPE, MDD messaging override etc.
2. Experience in Network management systems
3. Experience in Deployment of DOCSIS 3.0 compliant CPEs or
DOCSIS 2.0 plus modems with IPv6 firmware
4. Knowledge of Multicast: ASM, SSM, Forwarding IPv6 control
traffic
5. Hands-on configuration and experience in setting up Cisco
routers to perform functions at the Access, Distribution, and Core
layers.
6. Proficient in Cisco IOS, Casa & Arris CMTS for
configuration & troubleshooting of routing protocols: MP-BGP, OSPF, LDP,
EIGRP, RIP, BGP v4, MPLS
7. Device configuration/management experience on the Cisco
BAC/CNR complex, RDU use
8. Experience in installation of Cisco BAC, RDU, DPE, Network
Registrar extensions, STUN server, upgrading and managing the database
9. Strong experience in System Administration, Installation,
Upgrading , Patches , Migration, Configuration, Troubleshooting, Security,
Backup, Performance Monitoring and Fine-tuning on UNIX/Linux Server
10. Experience
with setting up QA and test plans, preparation, experience with QA tools such
as HPQC, Rally, ALM.
