Cisco Advanced
Services-Service Providers currently has a need for a contracted IP networking
“Focal Engineer” (formerly called a “Resident Engineer”) in the Minneapolis, MN
area to provide daily network support of Cisco equipment for a major
client. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE CANDIDATE RESIDE IN THE MINNEAPOLIS AREA
OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE HIMSELF/HERSELF TO THAT AREA (Cisco will not pay
relocation expenses.)
This engineer will be
expected to be onsite daily at the client’s location and work directly with the
client’s engineers and technicians as well as remote Cisco support personnel.
Duties will be those typical of an IP network engineer: configure Cisco routers
and switches, troubleshoot and help resolve issues or outages, provide help and
guidance to the client’s engineers and technicians, etc.
