This position focuses on SQL query writing, analysis and problem
solving as it relates to data, types of data, and relationships among data
elements within an IT/Business system. This position works with, and is the
data liaison between business area users and information technology
developers/administrators. This position is responsible for writing and
developing database views, stored procedures, queries used by other
development staff, determining appropriate indexes and efficient execution
plans. They are also responsible for collecting, maintaining, managing, interpreting
and analyzing data received from internal data and external data sources. The
Data analyst conducts a verification/accuracy process of such data for
identifying the problem(s) and develops solutions to resolve problem(s) and
uses this information to see the impact on the business operations. This
position leads the development, documentation and adherence and ensures
enterprise data standards, rules and guidelines are implemented to the extent
possible in an enterprise system. This positions is also responsible for
ensuring optimum performance, integrity, and availability of enterprise and
divisional databases. This position is responsible for the management,
administration and technical support all databases to include administering
databases and database management technology; designing, implementing;
establishing policies and procedures for gaining access to and using database
system software
