1) Strong SAS skills -- significant
experience writing SAS code for data extractions, transformations, merges,
joins of multiple tables/sources, etc.
2) Strong analytical skills -- displayed
experience with data analysis -- examples are: understanding nuances in data,
working with data, experience with investigating and resolving data problems,
etc.
3) Strong attention to detail -- being
able to look at detailed data and make sense of it, paying attention to the
detailed nuances found in large data populations, understanding the data
details in order to accommodate the nuances properly in a program, etc.
4) Strong interpersonal and
communication skills -- being able to work well within and across teams, work
well towards team goals, have a positive attitude and be a positive force
within the team,etc.
5) Mainframe experience a
plus.......(sync sort, JCL, TSO, etc.)
6)
Solid experience with SQL -- able to write SQL queries, from basic to medium
complexity -- joining tables, extracting data from multiple sources,
transforming data, etc.
