We are looking for a Sr. Database Administrator to handle multiple(currently 15)  enterprise projects from design, implementation, tuning, maintanence, Performance tuning  and configuration to also being the technical lead.    This resource is needed to develop enterprise wide solutions designs and develop standards and best practices.   A leader, mentor , project management ability are qualities to name a few.    Current migration from SQL server 2008 to 2012
The Database Administrator is responsible for data analysis and database management. Database Administrators typically are involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning. Database Administrators have a range of skills and knowledge of the utilities and production tools used for data storage management to support the Application Team.

Responsibilities:
1.       Tech lead on multiple projects to be run concurrently
2.       Design efficient large scale database
3.       Install, maintain and tune SQL SERVER RDBMS software
4.       Design and implement high availability solutions.
5.       Solutions Design.
a.       Works with IT Architecture staff, CIO and/or IT Managers to design solutions that meet agency requirements.
b.      Assists analysis of the solution design’s business case.
c.       Authors portions of the solution business case.

6.       Database support.
a.       Issues Tier III resolution.
b.      Reporting business intelligence

7.       Understands business intelligence data needs.
8.       Defines the data warehouse/business intelligence design.
9.       Implements data warehouses and data marts.
10.   Implements business intelligence tools and user interfaces.
11.   Implements enterprise reporting.
12.   Implements management dashboards and scorecards.
13.   Implements analytic applications.
14.   Replicates and transforms data for business intelligence.
15.   Develop standards/best practices.
16.   Creates documentation of installation procedures, monitoring procedures,
        security policies, configuration changes, migration procedures and best
        practices for development teams.
17.   Performance tuning and configuration.
a.       Provide monitoring and problem resolution related to database monitoring tools
b.      Provide tuning expertise to large scale / complex database
c.       Conducts performance tuning system configuration running on multiple platforms.
d.      Tunes data manipulation model.
18.   Data migrations, business process monitoring
19.   Designs standards for the exchange of data between systems, including
        data security models
20.   Data modeling.
a.       Works with multidimensional models.
21.   Business analyst.
a.       Develops database strategies to support business needs.
22.   Project planning.
a.       With project manager, provide technical assistance in developing and maintaining project plans for projects
b.      Applies principles, theories, practices and techniques of project planning.
23.   Mentoring.
      a.      Plans and conducts formal mentorship activities for peers and/or lower-level 
           staff via verbal instruction or technical documentation.
